Central to our life at St Chrysostom's is our belief that
God is loving and compassionate and we are called to
be loving and compassionate too.
We believe we are called to love and worship God, with joy and
with hope. We believe we are called to pray for and to care for
others, and for our world.
Each Sunday, and on weekdays too, we meet for worship and for
prayer. We aim to have worship which is worthy and inspiring.
We offer our worship and prayer on behalf of all our church
members and parishioners.
We believe that Our Lord Jesus Christ has called us to celebrate
the Mass regularly and faithfully, as a means of his love and
grace for each of us, and to build up his body, the Church.
Mass is our central act of worship each Sunday, it is our
community - family - meal, a sacrament of Christ's presence and
God's love.
We believe we are called to encourage others in faith, and to
explore our faith together.
We welcome all who come through our doors, and we work to
reach out to our local area, inviting people to join our Christian
community. As well as worshipping together, we have meetings
for fellowship and study.
Our Mission Statement
Called together by the God who loves all people, we, the people of St John Chrysostoms, seek to share God’s love with one another and the world around us.
Friends, and fellow pilgrims, clergy and lay persons, we encourage one another, and seek to respond compassionately to the needs of our parish and world.
We welcome those celebrating faith, or struggling with doubt, those seeking spiritual nourishment, friendship and care, and those of diverse ages, race and sexual orientations.
We celebrate together at Sunday Mass, the focus of our life together. Rejoicing in our rich Anglo-Catholic tradition, we invite all to join us. Together, we strive to seek and serve Jesus Christ in all persons.

OUR FAITH TRADITION At Saint Chrysostoms we ally ourselves with the Western Catholic tradition of God's
people. The church continues to deepen and enhance the best traditions of Anglo-Catholic worship and
witness. We celebrate the seven sacraments of the Church and rejoice in the richness and variety of the
Catholic tradition of the Church.
