SOCIAL LIFE @ ST C’s…

Community and fellowship are important for us all...

At St Chrysostom's our Church Council arranges various social events for the year ahead, which aim to bring people together in
an informal setting for fun and friendship. Individual members of the church also arrange social events from time to time.

We try to cater for a wide variety of interests and tastes and we think that our programme provides something for everyone.
These include shared lunches after Mass, day trips out, lunches or evening meals at pubs and restaurants, games/quiz evenings
and musical concerts.

Some of our regular events include:

Autumn – We start off the new academic year with tea at a parishioner’s house and an evening meal out in town.
We often have a musical concert at church in November and then an Advent Fair in December.

Spring – We often have a games evening at church – if you’ve never played ‘Beetle’ then come along and try it out!
We have also had a simple supper at church during Lent.

Summer – We have a church family day out when the weather improves and we arrange a pilgrimage to Walsingham for a few
days during August.

There are details of social events on the news page of the website and a full calendar of the planned events for the year can be
picked up from church.

But we do like to be spontaneous, so keep a look out for other events advertised on the website or at church during the year!
