The Book Reading Group
welcomes
everyone

For our last meeting we read
'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini
In Lent 2008 we read
'Free of Charge' by Miroslav Volf.
What kind of books do members read?
All kinds of books - have a look at the list below and you'll see a wide range. We enjoy reading different books, some of which we
would never personally have chosen to read - but which we find to be a 'good read.'

Who chooses the books?
A member chooses a book, it's their choice. Then we read it and meet for a friendly chat about it over a cup of tea (and
sometimes some cake) on an afternoon. Sometimes we have a guest come along to introduce the discussion.

How often does the group meet?
Meetings are about every 6 - 8 weeks. We agree a time and meeting place - often one of the member's homes.

How do you join?
Anyone is welcome to join. It's an enjoyable meeting. There is no charge (except you have to buy the book!). You don't have to
come to every meeting - but we hope you'll try. Interested? Contact Fr Ian.
